AMOS ROOK; was 3rd Qtr 1843 at Boughton. He was christened on 24th May 1848 along with 3 other siblings at Dunkirk Church. He died 4th November 1895 at Boughton.
Amos married SARAH ANN DUNKIN/DUNCAN on 1st December 1867 at Boughton.
Sarah was born 1st Qtr 1849 at Hernhill, Kent. She was christened on 4th February 1849 at Hernhill. Her parents were John Dunkin and Charlotte Butcher. Sarah had a 2nd marriage, this being to a Charles W Knott on the 5th February 1898 at Boughton. She died ? possibly 2nd Qtr 1906 at West Ashford.

Amos and his younger brother Othello were both up in front of the courts concerning bastardy battles. They are both mentioned in Barry Reay's book, 'MICROHISTORIES. Demography, society and culture in rural England, 1800 - 1930. The book centres on Boughton, Dunkirk and Hernhill; If you are interested in the area and have links then it's quite a good read; Barry mentions quite a few Families and it gives a good insight to the way they lived and what the area was like. Published by Cambridge University Press.

I had originally thought, or had been told, that Amos & Sarah had a daughter called MABEL (1867), but I can't find any documentation to support this so I am leaving her out for now.
